TCS NQT 2026 Preparation Plan — Day by Day Schedule
Most NQT preparation advice tells you what to study but never how to structure the time. Four weeks feels like a lot until the exam is two days away and half the syllabus is untouched. This is a realistic day-by-day plan, built around how the NQT is actually structured, not a generic study schedule copied from a coaching center brochure.
Week 1 — Foundation
Aptitude Basics
Week 2 — Verbal and Reasoning
Verbal Ability + Advanced Reasoning
Week 3 — Coding
Programming Section
Week 4 — Interview Ready
Interview Prep + Resume
The Part Most Candidates Skip Entirely
Weeks of aptitude and coding preparation are wasted if the resume doesn't get shortlisted after clearing the NQT. TCS, like most large companies, filters resumes through an ATS before a human sees them. A strong test score doesn't matter if the resume never makes it to the interview stage in the first place.
Set aside at least one evening during Week 4 specifically for the resume — check it against the actual job description, make sure the format is ATS-friendly, and confirm the keywords match what TCS is actually screening for.
A Note on the Last Few Days
Cramming new topics in the final 2-3 days usually does more harm than good — it adds anxiety without meaningfully improving performance. The candidates who do well are consistently the ones who stop learning new material a few days out and instead focus on staying calm, sleeping properly, and reviewing what they already know.
